We offer a $10 flat rate shipping throughout Australia. Free shipping over $80
Due to a high volume of orders we are unable to combine shipping or alter your order once placed, please double check your order before checking out.
Please make sure your shipping address is correct at the time of placing your order.
We ship out on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We strive to package without plastic, how ever we also love to reuse and recycle, sometimes you may receive bubble wrap or other packaging materials that we are re using from suppliers and packages, please reuse and recycle these also. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your items to be crafted and shipped. We create in small batches by hand. We strive to have them out as quickly as possible. Please refer to your tracking email to track delivery (Check your junk mail). We have no control over how fast/long the courier may take. All orders will be sent out with 'Authority to leave' unless specified in notes otherwise. It is the customers responsibility to note if they would like signature on delivery.
Please try not to leave candles sitting out in the heat, this will cause them to sweat and melt.
Local? You can pick up your order! Simply pop in code LOCAL at the checkout and slide into my emails/dms to organise to collect.
We do not take custom or pre orders.
We create all our ceramics by hand, these can take up to 2-3 weeks to complete from start to finish. Any discrepancies, variations or movement lines in the clay are not considered faults, instead add to the perfectly imperfect and unique nature of your item.
Here at Salt Trading Co all our candles are handmade with the highest quality ingredients, including 100% vegan natural eco soy wax. Our soy wax is completely free of toxins, carcinogens, synthetics, palm oil, and any nasties, it is bio degradable and great for your home and the earth. All our fragrances are high quality essential oils and all natural plant based fragrant oils. We use sustainable wooden wicks, providing a soft ambient crackling sound. All our vessels are 100% reusable and recyclable.
CARE AND SAFETY
Please ALWAYS refer to the warning labels at the bottom of your vessels. NEVER leave candles unattended.
Always allow the wax to burn all the way to the edges of the vessel to create an even clean burn. This prevents tunneling and provides maximum longevity. If you don't let the wax melt all the way to the edges you may create a build up of wax, making it difficult to relight your wick. If you haven't let your wax melt all the way to the edges and your wick is going out, try to empty some of the wax out to create an even plane and try again, re burning all the way to the edges, wooden wicks, unlike cotton wicks, do not contain any petroleum coating, so burning is sometimes temperamental as there are no chemicals to fuel the wick, always light with a lighter and hold the flame on the wick for a few more seconds. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time for a larger candle and 2 hours at a time for a smaller candle. Always make sure your candle is placed on a heat resistant surface, out of reach from children and animals. Keep candles away from windows and drafts. Trim your wicks to 5mm before each use to prevent the build up or soot and 'mushrooming' and ensure a clean burn. Never pick up a hot candle. Keep candles out of direct sunlight and excessive temperatures, pure soy wax candles will sweat in the heat. Never use the lid to extinguish your candle. When there is 10mm left at the bottom of your candle, its time to wash out, never attempt to light.
Any candles containing vanilla will discolour and yellow over time, especially if left in the sun, this is due to the natural vanilla bean extract.
Failure to comply with warnings may result in fire, hazard or injury.
To reuse your vessel, simply wash out with warm soapy water.
We know that our candles smell so good you'll be questioning whether they are edible or not.... They are not! So please stop nibbling right now!
Please choose carefully, we do not give refunds for change of mind or if you make the wrong decision.
In the unlikely event that your candle arrives damaged, please contact us within 24hours so we can assess the damage. We take great pride and care in packaging your order securely, however once your package leaves the studio, its in the hands of the courier.
Please ensure your postal address is correct as we are unable to give refunds for incorrect delivery information. It is the customers responsibility to provide us with detailed and accurate instructions.
Please bring your candles inside as soon as possible once delivered, leaving them in the heat may cause them to sweat and melt, we can not refund for this reason.
Computer and phone monitors can display slight colour variations, this is not a fault and no refund will be given.
